Capital of the Province of Tierra del Fuego and situated on the shores of the Beagle Channel, Ushuaia is the southernmost city in the planet. Ushuaia –which in the yámana tongue means “bay looking to the West”– is surrounded by Mount Martial to the West and by Mounts Olivia and Cinco Hermanos to the East. It offers visitors a unique scenery combining mountains, sea, glaciers and forests.
