To the Northwest of the province and on the shore of the lake bearing the same name, there is a stunning landscape which makes Caviahue a unique place. This city is located 352 away from Nequén Capital City and 1,600 km away from Buenos Aires. It is accessed by land across Provincial Routes 21 and 26. By air, visitors arrive in the International Airport of Neuqúen and then drive by land across National Route 22 and Provincial Routes 21 and 26. It is also possible to reach the city by the Airport of Loncopué, 52 km away and from Chile, traveling 179 km.
Caviahue ski resort has 25 km of signaled runs enabling beginners and advanced skiers to enjoy ski and snowboarding. Copahue Provincial Park and Copahue Volcano Hot Springs make this ski center a matchless and attractive site and allow guests to enjoy a relaxing and delightful hot bath in Caviahue. At the Copahue Volcano base, it is also possible to go on excursions in snowmobiles and take rides in sleds pulled by Siberian dogs. The season opens on June 12 and ends on September 30, approximately. |
