Cerro Bayo is located in Villa La Angostura, at the heart of Nahuel Huapi National Park. This villa is situated in the South of the province, 447 km away from the city of Neuquén, around 1,690 km from Buenos Aires and only 32 km from the border crossing with Chile. It is accessed across paved routes and by air, arriving in the San Carlos de Bariloche International Airport, 80 km away.
Cerro Bayo ski resort has 32 km of runs and trails inviting skiers to descend over the forested slopes. The season opens on June 20 and ends around the last days of September. To learn skiing or perfect the technique, Cerro Bayo Ski School is made up of a team of excellent professionals offering various options according to the age, level or sport chosen. Rides in snowmobiles can also be taken to get to know the Bayo slopes. There are also boat tours on the lake to Los Arrayanes National Park, one of the most beautiful places in Argentina.
To the Northwest of the province and on the shore of the lake bearing the same name, there is a stunning landscape which makes Caviahue a unique place. This city is located 352 away from Nequén Capital City and 1,600 km away from Buenos Aires. It is accessed by land across Provincial Routes 21 and 26. By air, visitors arrive in the International Airport of Neuqúen and then drive by land across National Route 22 and Provincial Routes 21 and 26. It is also possible to reach the city by the Airport of Loncopué, 52 km away and from Chile, traveling 179 km. |
