Mendoza

Lying on the Andean massif, to the West of the Republic of Argentina, the Province of Mendoza borders on San Juan to the North, on San Luis to the East, on La Pampa to the South East, on Neuquén to the South and on the Republic of Chile to the West.
The capital of the province bears the same name and is located on the North of the province.

Its main cities are:

  • Mendoza Capital City
  • San Rafael
  • San Martín
  • Godoy Cruz
  • Luján de Cuyo

This city is a little more than 1,100 km away from Buenos Aires, the capital of the country; 400 km from Santiago de Chile and 3,200 km from Sao Pablo, economic capital of Brazil. This location makes Mendoza the most important link in the present bioceanic corridor, which joins the Mercosur with the dynamic ports of the Pacific.
Mendoza -also known as the land of the good sun and the good wine- is benefited by a temperate, continental or semi dry climate. Scarce rainfall irrigates its fields in the Fall and in the Winter and increases remarkably in the Summer months.

Mendoza is one of the largest tourist centers in Argentina. In addition to its historical interest sites or famous wineries, where the best wines can be tasted, the province is the starting point for adventure tourism and mountain sports, such as andinism, ski and river rafting, with multiple circuits to carry out these activities.
