How to get there
19 km away from the City of San Martín de los Andes, Chapelco is accessed along National Route 234, parallel to Lake Lácar, and then detours into Provincial Route 19, to travel 5 more kilometers up to the Base. From the City of Buenos Aires, 1,596 km away, regular flights arrive in Chapelco Airport, located in San Martín de los Andes. During the season, special and charter flights are added. Likewise, some airlines fly in from Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).By land, access is gained along National Route 7, Provincial Route 6, National Route 5 and then 35 (Santa Rosa), National Route 152, 143 and Provincial Route 20, National Route 151, 22, 40 and 234 up to San Martín de los Andes. From the City of Neuquén, regular flights leave during the entire year. By land, 425 km are traveled along National Route 22 up to Zapala, National Route 40 and then National Route 234.

Technical information
- It has 13 lifts available enabling to carry 15,550 skiers an hour, working from 9 am to 6 pm (subject to weather conditions). A 6-skier chairlift, 3 quad chairs (one of them detachable), 1 triple chair, 1 double chairlift, 1 double chair and 4 T-bar lifts and 2 magic carpets.
- There are 27 runs for beginners, intermediates and experts.
- The estimated ski area has 140 hectares and the vertical drop (not combine) has 730 meters. The maximum ski lengths are:
- From the top of the quad chair of Mallín up to the Mocho, de la Pradera run and combination of various runs to the Base: 5.3 km.
- Another option: from the top of the del Filo lift to the Base along del Filo and Pioneros runs: 3.4 km.

- Ski and snowboarding school
- Children Club: Day care for children aged 3 months to 3 years. Snow Kindergarten for children aged 3 to 5 years at elevation 1600. Junior Academy for children and teenagers aged 6 to 15 with group lessons, passes and lunch.

- Gastronomy: Seven shelters with restaurant and coffee shop services.
- Safety patrols go around all the runs and have 3 fixed control posts.
- Snow Park: A recreation center to perfect snowboarding and ski under the freestyle modality. It is 100 meters away from the access of del Mallín lift.

LG Snowboard International Ski Federation World Cup
It will take place for the seventh time in South America and for the fist time in Argentina, where Chapelco was selected as host. This contest is the most important event at a sports and organization level. The best snowboarders coming from over 25 countries will be attending.
During the contest, the best snowboard cross players will be seen at the men and women categories. Contests will be supervised by the International Ski Federation, responsible for controlling all the international circuit of this new World Cup.
Once this stage concludes in Chapelco, LG Snowboard International Ski Federation World Cup 2008/2009 will go on in Asia, Europe and USA.
